Midlands Latino Community Development Corporation
photography / graphic design / web design
2016 - 2017
Midlands Latino Community Development Corporation (MLCDC) is a non-profit organization in metropolitan Omaha area, dedicated to provide opportunities for Latinos to stimulate economic growth and to develop a healthy and sustainable future.

Through MavPR, I served as photographer for their website, social media and brochure content, collaborated with the designer.
I have also designed their newspaper ad to promote the organization to the local Latino community.

Bilingual material and intercultural communication with the managers was a huge challenge for me. We set up in-person meeting to check the team was on the same page. Easy and clear communication was the most important factor working with this client and also to reach out to the target audience who does not speak English as their first language.

Overall, I had a great relationship with the managers and local business owners through this project from my own bi-cultural experience. This experience has supported me my understanding towards multicultural communication outside the classroom.
